Katheryn Kornegay gives a presentation at the Biocene 2023 Conference

Katheryn Kornegay, a 4th year PhD student received a presentation award at the Biocene 2023 Conference, an event examining the fascinating world of materials — whether it is the various ways in which they have been inspired by nature, or what the future holds for innovative discoveries. Her presentation was on "Synthesis and Multi-physical Characterization of Melanin-rich Mycelium Aerogels,” a current XLab project focusing on Mycotecture.
